Some of us used the additional Motornights event in the old shipyard in Korneuburg as a worthy season final.
The last days crossing France were hard for Eva and Flo. To drive through the cities on the Côte d’Azur without a good working first gear with so many tourists is not the best idea. “Poor gearbox – this was not nice from us!” But after three stressed days in France they arrived Italy! Here they are driving also the cost way and had already passed the City of Genova and are staying now in the National Park of Cinque…
After many great days in Arneva they had to look forward and so Eva and Flo continued their trip. They are now going back the coast way of Spain and France to visit Italy. There are a lot of beautiful places and cities they have seen: Sleeping by the sea / Sant Carles de la Ràpita / Spain
As Eva and Flo arrived in Arneva (Orihuela-Alicante) Monserrate told them what they first have to do: “Relax”. So they did and enjoyed the first evening with a BBQ – the spanish way. The next days they where invited for lunch by the family and this was the only thing they really had to do. They got to know Manuel a friend of Monserrate who had learned to build Sofas. So Flo asked him if he can fix the right…
This time we want to show you the last days of France and the first in Spain. Eva and Flo are already having a very good time at Monserrates Place in Arneva-Orihuela-Alicante. You will see next time… Cahors/France Boulogne-sur-Gesse/France Port de la Bonaigua/Spain Espot/Spain Espot/Spain la Pobla de Segur/Spain Alt de Viu/Spain Pantà d’Escales/Spain Pantà d’Escales/Spain Tolva/Spain Monasterio de el Pueyo/Spain Jalance/Spain
The last three days Eva and Flo were travelling through France. On the countryside it is a very beautiful piece of land. To see as much as possible they took small roads through large valleys and romantic little cities. As you can see below! The bug and the caravan are still running fine. With big steps they move forward to reach Spain. Parc Naturel Région de Chartreuse/France Parc Naturel Région du Vercors/France Parc Naturel Région du Vercors/France Parc Naturel Région…
The first time the VW beetles club of Obergrafendorf hosted their event called Luftgekühlt am See at the Ebersdorfer See in Lower Austria. Despite a short but heavy rain shower it was very well attended and we had a great time there. Let’s hope that they host this meeting once again next year.
This year Eva and Flo finally decided to go on a trip. They bought a Qek caravan, like Domi’s and Zainab’s, a few months ago and began to restore it to receive an austrian licence. The car who will tow it has always been clear. It has to be Flo’s bug from 1966 – his loved first beetle. None of them had planned a route they just had directions and countries which they wanted to see. And there was just…
About 70 cars came to the meeting located in the heart of lower Austrias wine cellar region. Domi held a presentation about Zainab’s and his world tour with Herbie. Check out their adventures on Herbie’s World Tour. Afterwards we made an excursion through the nice landscape to the Czech border.
Our video of the AutoMuseum in Wolfsburg is now available – watch out!
The last station of our trip was the AutoMuseum next to the Autostadt in Wolfsburg where we got a fascinating insight into the product history of Volkswagen. Among the main exhibits are many rare concept vehicles, prototypes and one-off models.
One day after the meeting in Hannover we visited the Autostadt in Wolfsburg, the home of Volkswagen. The ZeitHaus chronicles the history of the car – from an exclusive item for the very wealthy, to a necessity for the masses.
So here are the missing rides of the show. Of course these pictures shows just a small part of the 3000 aircooled vehicles at the meeting. It was a great expirience for us to be there. Watch out for the next station of our trip through North Germany!
Once a year we’re travelling to one international VW show. This time we were at the annual Maikäfertreffen in Hannover. This entry shows the Buses, Type 3s, Kübelwagens, Fridolin and Porsche 914. Next time you’ll see the bugs, Karmann Ghias and Porsche 356.
This was our first time at the May Cruise Madness – the meeting before the meeting, which was hosted by DFL – Der fieser Luftkühlers. This was just the beginning of the trip – stay “slammed and fooshed” for more pictures of our adventure! To wrap it up here’s a video of this aircooled evening!
Last Sunday as Georgy, Fabi, Lisa and Markus where at the “Seiberer Bergpreis”, Domi, Benjamin and Flo visited the Oldtimer community in Enzersfeld. Take a look:
This Oldtimer-contest has been organized by Erster Oesterreichischer Kleinwagenclub for twenty years now, and has established itself as a traditional act to start of the Austrian Oldtimer season. The Wachau in the province of Lower Austria with its mountain Seiberer (near Weiszenkirchen on the Danube) offers the appropriate scenic environment. We had a great time being part of this event!
Yesterday we visited the first Altblech Friday Night Cruising of 2015. Stay tuned for the upcoming meetings!
Our KdF Channel now have over 800 videos of aircooled Volkswagen. Click on the picture below!
