Following the tradition which started with Domi’s 30th Birthday a few years ago – to give a really special present – we surprised our good friend Flo for his jubilee with a 1960 Vespa 150 VBB. We knew before that he was looking for a Vespa from this time with all the characteristic features and we also knew that he loves patina. So it has to have the original paintjob, or in our case it was underneath some olive green strokes of brush. As the engine was working well we concentrated the repairs on changing the whole electric, wire rope hoists, rubber parts and of course removing the green paintjob and restore some rusty parts. The metal is in very good condition because the Vespa comes from sunny Italy so no welding had to be done. Note the mileage on the fixed speedometer which shows Flo’s birthday – 25.01.1989
